Applications for the propel programme have now closed
Applications that meet our criteria will be asked to attend a short interview during the week commencing Monday 28 September 2009.
The successful 30 applicants will be notified on Monday 5 October 2009 and must confirm acceptance in writing by Thursday 8 October.
Phase 1 – From Idea to Project Plan
Start date: Thursday 15 October 2009
End date: w/c 29 November 2009
During this 8 week segment we will be holding a weekly evening workshop, in Belfast. During this phase we use our proven methodology, to take you on a step-by-step process, which will allow y ou – and us - to validate, and road test your business idea, with support and advice from the PROPEL Programme Director, our workshop delivery team and Invest NI executives.
This panel will offer funding support to the 15 successful companies in December 2009. Thereafter we will convene an 8 week break in the programme.
Candidates who wish to advance to Phase 2 will have to demonstrate significant progress and commitment during Phase 1 on projects which are truly innovative and hold significant export and growth potential . You will then be given the opportunity to present your idea in detail, and share your business plan to our Venture Panel. This will be a competitive process and successful candidates will receive an initial seed investment, including a salary grant, incubation, market development, and expert help.

Phase 2 - become an ‘Investor Ready’ company
Start date: February 2010
For our successful participants, Phase 2 is a full time commitment. It is anticipated that Phase 2 will not begin until February 2010, to allow the individuals to make the necessary lifestyle changes to commit to their projects full time. We will also be providing the necessary support to finalise funding, incubation facilities and complete an individual training needs analysis.
